Accommodation options on Socotra Island include hotels located primarily in Hadiboh city, as well as ecolodges and camping opportunities within protected areas. These options will be incorporated into your tour itinerary. Please note that some clients may require specific accommodation standards. For instance, if a luxury stay is preferred, the Summerland Hotel offers single rooms for $75 per night, double suite rooms for $140 per night, and suites for approximately $220 per night. Please inform us if you desire to stay at the Summerland Hotel, as this will incur an additional cost to your itinerary.
We are strongly recommend to our clients to stay in Ecolodge camping site in nature at protected areas. There are however few eco lodges close to Hadiboh city like Adeeb and Delisha campsite.
Regarding internet services you can use it in the main cities of Hadibo and Qalancia. It is possible to check your email, etc. in cities , but the connection is sometimes slow. You can eventually use our staff connection to check your email. Further, GSM mobile can use internet data in few places on the island apart from Hadiboh.
CDMA mobile phone service on Socotra are limited to certain places, and anyway in many places there is no mobile coverage in some areas and if you absolutely need to be reachable or to reach someone. In these cases we can provide your guide with a mobile phone which has a sim-card and you can buy the scratch cards to replenish and use it as you can .
As there is not available of ATM services on Socotra, we have suggested to pay for your visa entrance and tour package by cash in dollar/USD when you are arriving to Socotra or at the end of your tour . If you do not like to carry cash with you, then you can wire us the totality or part of it, we leave it up to you. The only amount that we have requested to get via wire is the cost of your domestic tickets and visa entrance fee, as this is outside our accounting system. We will send you our bank details once you plan and ready to do the transfer.
